I spent the entire day studying the Kings course, some of its boring, but I'm excited for the adventure ahead of me.
I've started this blog to chart my path as I make the transition to becoming professional pilot. I hope to capture all the highs and lows, successes, setbacks and failures as I transition from a student pilot with 53hrs, to making a living as a pilot.

All approved!! Better get cracken
Ok.. well ATP called today, letting me know that they approved the loan, so all I need to do is put a $995.00 deposit down and they send me my books and set a class date. I talk with a counselor about the theory of finishing my private with ATP, then rolling straight into the Airline Career Pilot Program. The head instructor called me back later, and politely told me it would be cheaper to finish on my own. Wow.. an honest company, off to a great start.
Well I decide to find a local instructor, get back with the local flying club, and finish studying for my FAA written exam.

Funded.. now what!
Sallie Mae calls, asks me a few questions.. then tell me they'll get back to me. The next day they emailed me telling me I needed to accept their offer, then they'll send the offer to the school for the final funding approval. Phew.. this program is expensive, but believe this is the best option.. quick tickets and out into the flying world.
Working on the book work, I decide to buy the King School's online written prep course. It advertises that if I study their whole course I will pass the written test the first time. We'll see!

Funding..
ATP calls and a congratulates me on my application, but tells me I need funding before we can go forward, they recommend some programs but advise me I better have a co-signer "most of our canidates don't have good enough credit" I thank them and start the process. I choose a Sallie Mae offer. I cross my fingers and wait for the response.
